Keith Cating Retirement
On June 1, 2017 Keith will retire from full-time ministry as our Baptist Campus Minister at McNeese.
More than 36 years ago Keith Cating began his collegiate ministry as BSU Director at Ole Miss. Keith served 20 years at Ole Miss., 5 years at Tulane, and 11 years here at McNeese State University. Keith is a proud McNeese graduate (1973) and served as our own McNeese Baptist Student Union President in 1972. Many of you have considered Keith a close personal friend for decades.
Celebrate with Keith!
We would like to invite you to honor Keith at a retirement reception planned for Monday, May 1, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the Baptist Collegiate Student Center, 4328 Ryan Street in Lake Charles. Please make every effort to attend to show your love to Keith!
Send Keith!
In appreciation of Keith’s dynamic leadership to Christ and Louisiana Baptists, we will solicit contributions from alumni and friends to provide a trip to the College World Series in Omaha Nebraska, June 17-27 and gather a special offering for future BCM mission endeavors (requested by Keith). Make your checks out to McNeese BCM Keith Cating Retirement Fund, 4328 Ryan Street, Lake Charles, LA 70605. All funds collected over and above the cost of the World Series Trip will be placed in the Sherman Cating endowment in memory of Keith’s parents.
Write Keith a Letter!
We will be putting together a special book of letters honoring Keith and his ministry. We know Keith will cherish every letter he receives and hope you will contribute to this meaningful remembrance, even if you cannot attend the reception. All letters should be on 8 1/2 x 11 paper and should be postmarked by April 12, 2017. Please send letters to BCM interns Andrew and Mary Beth c/o BCM.
